i'd love to see this if it ever comes out. Yeah I've already seen all that. Looks awesome, but it's actually just a teaser and not really a trailer for the movie. They haven't even started filming for the actual movie. That was just made by a group of fans.

and i don't have the patience to explain the halo series... greatest game trilogy ever maybe? Certainly not. There really isn't anything that seperates halo from the many other sci-fi shooters out there, except marketing. The second and third ones, of course, had a huge budget after the success of the first so they have up to date graphics and all, but halo wasn't the first to do anything and none of the games did anything the best either. I will admit that they brought an already-existing product to a much wider audience, which I am thankful for.

It really depends on what you are willing to include. I mean there are many series that are better with at least 3 titles. Mario is an obvious contender for best, as is Zelda. If you want to go more genre specific, the Half Life series stands out clearly. The original in 1998 was the first modern shooter, and stands the test of time very well. It introduced scripted actions in games - this is when something happens based on what you do or where you go. Every shooter before Half Life just had a bunch of guys hanging around the level you had to kill. The sequel, HL2 in 2004 brought a whole new level of graphics, action, and physics to the table. Both of these games have multiple expansion packs with enough new levels to fill up a whole halo game. To get a look at just how dominant this series is, take a look at the metacritic top pc list (this site takes every game sites rating and averages it together): http://www.metacritic.com/games/pc/There are four games tied for #1. One of them is sort of an accident - only five sites reviewed it so it has an artificially bloated score. The other three? Half Life, Half Life 2, and the Orange Box. The Orange Box is a compilitation of Half Life 2, two HL2 expansions, and two other games based off the HL2 engine. Now let us take a trip over to the 360's top list, halo 3 territory: http://www.metacritic.com/games/xbox360/Two games tied for number one. Bioshock, and, you guessed it. the Orange Box. If that isn't domination, I don't know what is.

Agreed. The new 2k games is definately living up to the team that made System Shock 2, lets hope they make another great game next and aren't a one-hit wonder - Crazy T-Shirt wrote:

I cite other resources because we can go back and fourth all day telling each other that IMO this game was better than that, but when you bring in the consensus of every professional game reviewer it has weight. And half life has no problem whatsoever selling, it is still the best selling pc shooter of all time, despite coming out back when way less people owned computers! The sequel has likewise sold extremely well. The makers, Valve, just tend to be a pretty awesome company and always throw in free stuff. I do agree that the box looks pretty lame, bad packaging definately. - Quote :

Why do you always have to go off point from agruments like this? What makes you think the site is stupid? What makes you think I get my opinion from the internet? I simply found a way to back up my claim that is just a really awesome series of games when you asked me which was the best. I downloaded the first game a long time ago, then bought it because it was so good. I bought the sequel when it came out, because it was the sequel to the most fun I've ever had playing a video game and I wasn't disappointed. It just seems that you and matt have dismissed one of the best 360 games outright simply because the box didn't look cool, and trust me the part of anyone that likes halo will love half life, and matt would really like portal too.
